The committee voted unanimously Monday on warrant article No. 68 totaling $3,029,149.28 — anchored by a $2,756,335.74 Consigli Construction invoice reduced by $45,327.68 in liquidated damages — along with change order No. 46 at $57,055.91. Members also approved a $121,000 SMMA amendment for energy performance work tied to anticipated Eversource utility credits approaching $500,000, and an $18,700 contract with independent engineering firm SGH to investigate a roofing membrane delamination above the gymnasium, with manufacturer GAF standing behind the repair under its 20-year warranty. A five-member working subcommittee presented eight categories of construction deviations — covering auditorium railings, tile alignment, elevator surrounds, out-of-plumb athletic light poles, and stair riser gaps — and recommended accepting credits totaling $425,852 rather than forcing remediation, with the committee's co-chair noting no safety or performance defects were identified. The campus dedication ceremony was targeted for Saturday, September 27, with October 18 as an alternate, pending MSBA confirmation.
