Committee OKs $430,000 in High School Invoices
School Building Committee · Meeting of September 28, 2026
Stoneham's new high school hits 99 percent completion as Building Committee clears $430,000 in invoices. Owner's project manager Julie told the committee substantial completion has been achieved and a certificate of occupancy should follow once a fire alarm door module is fixed and an exit sign, lowered over the weekend, is confirmed. Members approved $430,185.19 in contractor and design invoices, including $332,198.99 to Consigli Construction, plus $77,116.93 for Spartan Plaza furniture and a pre-kindergarten table, and $36,188.97 for a Toro tractor.
Consigli's Kyle reported storm-driven leaks at the gym roof and Spartan Place glass walls were "not typical for this time of year" but minor. Member Jeanne Craigie closed the meeting calling the project "the most complicated thing I have ever participated in." A final MSBA audit could take up to a year after closeout.
