Stoneham Chamber Closes 2022 Concert Series, Awards Four High School Scholarships

STONEHAM — August 11, 2022 — Stoneham Chamber of Commerce closes its 2022 Summer Concert Series with Irish-rock band DEVRI and awards four scholarships. The final Thursday-night outdoor concert, held August 11 in Stoneham Square, was organized by Series Committee Chair Debbie Catalano and supported by presenting sponsors Stoneham Bank, Stoneham Ford, Northern Bank, and Stone Zoo. At intermission, Scholarship Committee member Dave Kurjanak of The Watchmaker presented awards to Bonavie Boynton (Kathleen E. Bray Scholarship, bound for the Los Angeles College of Music), Jack Heenahan (Chamber of Business Scholarship, bound for Bridgewater State University), Brendan Chabelli (John F. Mahoney Scholarship), and Audrey Brogna (a second Chamber of Business Scholarship), funded annually from Chamber event proceeds including Town Day and the Golf Tournament. DEVRI, whose members recently returned from a nine-day Ireland tour with 120 guests, announced their 11th annual Boston Harbor charity cruise for August 20, benefiting children's cancer charity Lucy's Love Bus, which has received over $250,000 from the event.
