Stoneham Wins IT Grant, Gets Housing Plan Approved
STONEHAM — Stoneham notched two pieces of town business this week: state approval of the town's Housing Production Plan and a Community Compact grant to modernize Building Department recordkeeping, while the Scholarship Committee opened its window for $1,000 resident scholarships.
TOWN HALL The town has been awarded a Community Compact IT Grant to modernize Building Department records, according to a News Flash posted to the town website. Separately, the town's Housing Production Plan has been approved, the town also announced, though officials have not yet released details on what the plan changes for future development review.
The Stoneham Town Scholarship Committee is accepting applications through August 3 from any resident pursuing an educational goal, with awards of $1,000 available; application information is posted on the town website. The Stevens Street Recycling Center has also posted its operating hours, which run through November 30.
