Stoneham Voters Head To Polls Tuesday For State Primary

Stoneham voters cast ballots Tuesday in the Massachusetts state primary, with the Town Hall Auditorium serving as the town's polling site from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Town Hall's own Clerk's Office closing for the day because of the vote.

TOWN HALL

The town's official News Flash confirms Town Hall Auditorium as the single polling location Tuesday, open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Unenrolled, or independent, voters may request either a Democratic or a Republican ballot when they arrive. Because of the election, the Town Clerk's Office will be closed all day Tuesday and is not expected to reopen until 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 2.

Several town boards and committees also meet this week, most by remote participation; see Coming Up below for the full schedule.

SCHOOLS

Stoneham Public Schools ran a fourth transportation lottery drawing on August 31 after one more bus seat opened up, filling that seat as the district finalizes routes ahead of the new school year. The district says another lottery will be held if additional seats become available.
