Select Board · Meeting of March 3, 2026
Stoneham Select Board approves May town meeting warrant, advancing senior property tax exemption and zoning recodification. The board voted unanimously, 4-0, to accept all 20 warrant articles. Town Administrator Dennis Sheehan presented the slate, noting Article 4 reinstates stipends for the Select Board, Board of Assessors, and Town Moderator; Article 12 covers FY25 unpaid bills; and Article 13 adopts a senior means-tested exemption while pausing Massachusetts General Law Chapter 59 protections.
Selectwoman Heidi Bilbo questioned whether snow removal provisions address crosswalk clearing and confirmed the storefront bylaw consultant had stepped away, though the town will move forward with public input. Article 17 proceeds to a required Planning Board hearing on zoning recodification.
