Stoneham Electronics Recycling Event Set for Saturday at Stevens Street
DATELINE — STONEHAM
A community electronics recycling event slated for tomorrow is the most concrete item on Stoneham's radar this Friday, as town hall sources produced no new press releases overnight and the school district and library calendars point residents toward next week's programming.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Stoneham Public Library's summer calendar is filling up with events for all ages in the weeks ahead. Coming first is a Drop-in Tech Support session Monday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to noon, paired that evening with the Monday Night Book Group from 7 to 8:30 p.m. On July 7, juggler Jenny the Juggler brings a family-friendly performance from 1 to 1:45 p.m. The library's bestselling-author series heats up mid-July: thriller writer Karin Slaughter appears July 14 at 7 p.m., and author Reyna Grande follows July 16 at 2 p.m. A Mid-Summer Faire is set for July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., and a program on Revolutionary War soldier Deborah Sampson, titled "Farm Girl on the Front Lines: Deborah Sampson's Secret," is scheduled for July 21 at 7 p.m. The library is located at 431 Main Street; call 781-438-1324 for details.
