Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 14, 2026

Stoneham Conservation Commission adopts first-ever RDA fees and drops a local abutter-notice rule. The board, chaired by Domenick Cimina, voted unanimously to charge $75 for residential and $100 for commercial requests for determination of applicability and to strip a bylaw requirement forcing applicants to notify abutters by certified mail, a step the state Wetlands Protection Act doesn't require. Attorney Roseanne Conte told the board an outstanding 2005 filing "has been holding up the sale a bit" before commissioners voted to close it.

The board also reviewed a $64,325 Whip Hill capital request, including a $6,700 interior-painting quote, and began planning October 7 interviews for a live-in caretaker position, with member Annalisa Bhatia citing the specific open-meeting-law exemption that would allow a preliminary screening in executive session.
