Stoneham Chamber Opens Free Summer Concert Series with Country Band on the Common

STONEHAM — June 26, 2025 — Stoneham Chamber of Commerce opens its 2025 Summer Concert Series with Freddy and the Freeloaders on the town Common. Country act Freddy and the Freeloaders, led by Somerville native Fred Ellsworth, headlined the June 26 opener, which also featured a 603 Line Dance demonstration, a classic car show organized by Roy and Jennifer Fowley and sponsored by Endicott College, a beer garden, and dual raffles. Debbie Catalano, chair of the concert series committee, credited platinum sponsors Stoneham Bank, Stoneham Ford, Salem Five, Eastern Bank, and the Arbors at Stoneham with enabling the series to remain free to the public. Stoneham Porch Fest representative Shannon announced the second annual community music event is set for September 6 at stonehamporch fest.com. Ellsworth told the crowd, "You guys win the award — you guys just know how to do it here in Stoneham." The series resumes July 10 with Better Her Than Me; there is no concert the week of July 4.
