Town Administrator Dennis Sheehan recommended a $125.2 million FY27 budget featuring a 17 percent school allocation increase to $46,018,906 and new positions for police dispatch, fire, and building. The Capital Committee recommendations total $1,242,335.
The boards discussed allocating $1.1 million in temporary budget capacity toward smoothing anticipated trash fee increases, capital investment, or staffing, noting that the trash contract ends at fiscal year end. A Bi-Board meeting is scheduled for March 3 for continued budget discussion.
