Select Board approves 72 Central Street condo development

Select Board · Meeting of January 27, 2026

Stoneham Select Board unanimously approves two residential site plans on Main and Central Streets. The board voted 5-0 to approve a plan for 72 Central Street LLC to demolish an existing single-family home and construct three condominiums, and to amend the site plan for 168-180 Main Street to allow vehicle storage with a one-year permit period. Both projects complied with all department recommendations, though the board waived the paving requirement for 168-180 Main Street.

The board also unanimously accepted a $119,337.50 donation from the Inez Woodbury Trust for the library, gifts from the Stoneham Garden Club dating to 1974, and directed Town Administrator Dennis Sheehan to propose a comprehensive strategic plan for Capital Committee review.
