McElroy, who has 20 years of mental health advocacy experience and created Neighbor Helping Neighbor for SHA residents, defeated candidate Joseph Bonaventura.
The Board unanimously reappointed Town Counsel Robert Galvin for 2026-2027 and signed the warrant for May Town Meeting.
